Honestly I liked the way he used Pikachu's Z move to get an attack in on Metagross. The whole 'controlling electricity' thing was in line with his usual strats, works and was just cool. My problem was that the animation in that episode sucked and they should have done a better job at showing how powerful that attack actually was, so we could see that iron tail was only the finisher.
They had like a 4 week break them came out with this mediocre garbage in the 3rd episode back. Then they had a recap episode immediately afterwards. Seems like production issues to me. Maybe it's like yugioh vrains were the end of a long journey ends up with the studio dying out with a whimper, followed by a total reboot. Brace yourselves for pokemon sevens at the end of the year
