I see the same shit posted in every damn thread for everything I read or watch. Somehow neither drama, nor sci-fi, exploration or character development counts as "happening" nowadays.

I think it's due to what a person expected out of the story when they first start watching/ reading. For some, if it doesn't progress towards that expectation, then it doesn't count as something happening.
