overlord kind of sucks. the story line is bland and the mc is so overpowered its not even like hes actually in danger ever. he also never does anything interesting. its 1 guy and guild npcs vs npcs... snore

no glitches. no server death closing in like the serve did go down but inside its super slow and your going to die in here. everything is like a game for no reason

but here is the best thing. its still beats netflix attempts and chinese attempts in ratings. ima go watch something worth watching like summer time render or made in abyss season 3

Its ok I prefer slime more and it doesn't help that the novel is ending in 2 volumes when there is a lot to explore it doesn't feel like its ending at all

Never watched overlord, only some clips on youtube, and I heard it's an isekai, it fucking confuses me. So there's this skelly guy who's over powered and literally is never in danger and he's all-knowing and all-powerful and if you fight him you are 100% going to die, how can the fighs be exciting? The drama surrounding them? All the characters seem to be people of Ainz's kingdom who love him and want to suck his dick (even though he is a skeleton) or people who hate him because they don't know him and looks evil I supposse. It doesn't seem particularly interesting or satisfying, I really dislike overpowered characters, I think struggle is really important for a character to be compelling, I will accept the most absurd shit so long as a character really struggles for it, you can have a fucking 10 women harem if you like, just struggle through 10 years of torture in order to achieve it and I will accept.

it's not a shonen battle series, nobody cares about the fights. Overlord is a comedy adventure series about an awkward lonely bone daddy and his evil kids messing around in a fantasy world. Nobody gives a shit about the anime adaption.

small summary of vol 16:

-messenger from the capital arrives at the dark elf village, informing them the theocracy will soon attack the capital

-ainz doesn't really care much about the war and decide to steal the treasures from the elf king so that the theocracy doesn't get it

-he decided to go with aura and mare to the elf capital there they meet the elf king

-ainz is using perfectly invisible, so the elf king cannot see him, and he thinks that aura and mare are his children because of their eyes, he thinks mare is a girl and orders them to sleep with him

-that triggers ainz, and he got angry as fuck and turns off his invisibility, elf king is shocked that a "mere undead" is in his palace, and it comes to fight between them

-aura estimate the elf king is something between level 70-80

-ainz easily defeat the elf king, and he flees into his throne room

-here he meets zesshi, and before she kills him he tells here that three are following him

-zesshi meets mare and knows instantly that he is very strong

-zesshi vs mare

-zesshi got beaten by mare, and she was sent to the frozen prison

-ainz use mind reading on zesshi and finds out that the theocracy was behind shalltears mind control, and he got incredibly angry and calls albedo to prepare for war against the theocracy
