What was her anime about?

This Rei is looking a bit off

An intergalactic trade war and its ramifications on poor societies on the galactic fringe, and their struggle for survival amidst the rising inflation.

the destructive nature of batch releases

>make the beta male MC a girl
>she's now really endearing
I love Bambam.

>make the beta male MC a girl
>friendzoned

Never got around to watching the 2nd half of this, is it worth bothering?

gay vampires

it felt like it was anti yuri

Just watch episode 9 and delete the rest if you bothered getting it.

Oshii is an old dude so probably he saw many teen girls infatuated with their sempai by later moving on to men. Also he's an old-school socialist, which mean his interests are on class struggle rather than pronouns and bathrooms

Mai was a good girl. See Bambam was the degenerate but she never got her way

thats completely shit
sjw activism doesnt take away anything from labour struggle
both are connected as state will enforce retarded moralism to stop people from working together

Faggotry is burgeous degeneracy. It's fueled by hyperindividualism inspired by the liberal values (I don't mean your boogieman but the liberal values from the French Revolution and the 13 colonies). Socialism is a collectivistic ideology, it opposes faggotry even if some twitter trannies like to larp as socialists but anons like to larp as Christians too. It's like larping is the big thing now

Thats a pretty deep question.

The second half the was the good half.
Especially the Yoshiharu Tsuge reference episode.
It was brutal how badly Bambam got cucked.

>Long tradition of lesbian vampires in the west
>Japan subvert the trope
Based Japan. Never change

I wonder if it was a joke lost in translation. Maybe the joke was that the harem/romcom male lead is an eunuch aka a guy without a dick and there's a running gag of Bambam being called a dude. If that was the authorial intent, I think it didn't work as well as Oshii expected

Such a great shitpost of a scene.
I wish she got more characterization.
All the other girls got an episode to themselves where we learned more about their personalities and identities and struggles.
Nothing for her.

There are only so many hours in so many days that you can pay towards any goal.
Every minute spent fighting for bullshit social justice when at this point the problems faced are almost all localized over people feeling disliked by society, not any actual legal barriers is time not spent on the labor struggle.

Gay Rights or Trans Rights or Black Rights or whatever doesn't intersect with Labor Rights.
Peter Thiel is a huge fag. Proud of it too. But he bankrolls antilabor movements and individuals all the time.
Does he have some right as a homosexual to be treated like others, sure. But does his status as a homosexual mean that he has any connection to the Labor movement? Not at all.
Clarence Thomas is one of the Blackest men in US history. Fucker spoke Gullah as a kid and was called America's Blackest Child by other black kids. And he's one of the few old school black nationalists still around. He's also ruled against Labor repeatedly throughout his career on the USSC. Does he have the right to be treated normally as a black man? Yes. But does that make his Black Rights movement in step with Labor? Not at all.
And beyond that setting people apart from each other base levels. Where every worker sees the other worker around them as an enemy in the great struggle for social power.

Yeah, its really hard to grok.
I guess its a joke. That the character told that their romance would never work out, has it not work out.
At the same time, the ending had a really bitter taste where it basically said that even if somehow it did work out eventually Bambam would be killed or worse.

I don't know what the point of that was.
