Its moeshit for pedos to pretend they're smart but its all just pretentious dogshit dialogue.

what does the pretentious dialogue pretend to convey though? psychopass is stupid and pretentious too but at least you can recognize that it's about free will and safety.

local pervert interested in his classmate who has the ability to mass shit out protractors gets enthralled by a vampire and then does her bidding

so it's a romcom? that sounds like a romcom

it's about a vampire that flirts with high/middle/elementary school girls

Love, loneliness, morality, depression, subjectivity, family, friendship, lust, regrets, paranoia, mental illness, raison d'etre, happiness, child abuse, choices, etymology, schadenfreude, humans Vs monsters, majority rule and justice, societal facades, random philosophical thought experiments,

basically almost everything and that's just from the content the anime adapted so far

Caca

Japanese Supernatural.

it's just a basic harem anime, the only thing TO talk about is how you want to fuck the girls. a lot of people get fooled by the artsy visuals and think it's deeper than that.

Its about different girls to fuck, but also a whole bunch of puns and wordplay that only make sense in japanese. Ie "Oni-Onii-chan" Also a bunch of shit shaft did to make the animation look cool and artsy.

Theres also a loose story about vampires and monsters but that only happens in between the hours of puns and animated bullshit

It's unironically too complicated and dialogue heavy to talk about the plot on a board like this, that's why everyone just talks about how much they want to fuck the girls.

does that mean big brother god?

Nisio's attempt at a deconstruction and then reconstruction of the harem genre and it's character tropes. it subverts them, to then justify and apply the tropes so we can have both, some real character development and themes, while indulging in fanservice, action and cute anime girls.

Got done watching the anime last night and desu it’s kinda hard to explain. But it’s a supernatural story about the mc, Araragi, going around and helping apparition's, which is a fancy word for ghosts and stuff.

There’s movies adapting the other novels and 3 animes with the episodes ranging from 15 (first 2008 release), to 12 (2013 release, iirc) and 26 (the most recent(?) release)

The art and music is good, but it’s really dialogue heavy, same goes for the novels, I heard. So if the talking becomes too much, just switch the speeds to 2x and keep up with the subtitles.

>what is monogatari actually about?
The plot consists of a series of mysteries. There are supernatural elements.

This post may look ridiculous but it's true. . It touches many of these concepts, and always does so in an artistic and legitimate way.

Rewatching the series and in second season I liked Kaiki a lot more then years ago

I found that once I understood what I was dealing with (Monogatari as a whole) Kaiki becomes a lot more likable. The first time around, if you haven't seen or read anything about monogatari prior, Kaiki plays into all the trappings of a random asshole throwaway villain when he's anything but.

When does Shaft release the new season? Are they working on it or does the off season never get an adaptation.

Thats because it's mostly about the girls and their personality and interactions with the MC. Often they have some sort of problem and they need to fix something about themselves in order to solve that problem. These problems also manifest physically to make it a more obvious metaphor and urgent to take care of. Nothing crazy deep about it and nothing pretentious.
Monkey a best.

Not sure when you mean new season. But I think they’ve done the movies for the most recent novels

Ghost Stories.

It's character-driven so you can't easily sum up the plot without mentioning the characters.

Yes

I mean the adaptation for Orokamonogatari

Shinobu sex

Supernatural short stories. Kind of like R. L. Stine, but more pretentious

Oh, that. Haven’t heard any news about it lately, so I’m not sure for the most part
