Is it much more recommended to watch the Japanese dub of this show instead of an English dub because of censorship/Bowdlerizations? I saw this show on television a long time ago and simply got accustomed to the English dub for familiarity. Reading Evageeks, it seems like a lot of sexual subtext was not adapted into the English dub.

It's what Asuka calls Shinji. She doesn't say "Third Child" in the dub. She says "Third Children" to a single person. Every time. This is one many terrible decisions since they went for a more literal translation of the Japanese. I fucking hate the Netflix dub particularly.

Yes. This goes for pretty much every anime in existence with so few exceptions out of the entire medium that it's not even worth considering english dubs as an option. Eva's english dub is utter shit compared to the original japanese.
