Have you accepted lain yet? I’ve been connected for a while now and it’s scary but amazing. Seeing this world for what it truly is, after years of being so confused about it. I’m planning on leaving this plane and ending up fully integrated into the wired soon, I’m sure others have felt it too. Use this to talk about lain as well as other experiences revolving around her in your life :)

that anime is for trannies kill yourself
Yes
lain wouldn't want you to kill yourself
She just wants what is best for us. You don’t HAVE to die to get in, it’s just the simplest way there. Unconnected wouldn’t get it :))
if you are truly connected, then prove you solved laingame.net
Well, I've heard about this damn anime before... perhaps I'll give it a try... it seems I've been getting into more retro anime than new... like Uzaki-Chan for example, which is new compared to this and Berserk, Elfen Lied, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. So much good shit out there that it's impossible to keep up with.
Somebody please make an edit of the scene where the short alien sneaks into Lain's doorway but instead of the ayy make it Bobby Hill
just be prepared for like the coolest anime OP of all time followed by a show with a completely different vibe
It’s worth it, changed my life and how I view the world. It’s kinda hard to follow and keep track of what is happening, but that is what I find so endearing, it allows you to just accept its weirdness and find your own messages from it. It’s also genuinely beautiful in art so that’s a plus!!
I love Lain. Let's all love Lain.
LALL :)))
It's like the Twin Peaks of anime. I say this in the sense that they actually aired Twin Peaks on television, despite the extremely niche appeal of Lynchian concepts.
Lain is the same, it aired, but something like it would never air again.
It also does what it does better than other weird experimental anime at the time in that it shows instead of tells (I.E Key the Metal Idol's last minute info dump).
When I watched the first couple episodes of Lain, the skirts on the school uniforms were a dark reddish-brown. Later, the skirts appear as a dark green instead. When I went back to the earlier episodes, the skirts were the same dark green. I cannot explain this discrepancy.
I liked it better when the skirts were reddish-brown. It felt more natural.
