The anime? I think it could've taken notes from the 1999 version, specifically with regard to aesthetics and tone. For the manga, I think it's pretty much great. I wish Togashi didn't fuck with Chrollo's character design, and the succession war arc is a little too complicated.

I always thought it was cool how he just disappears and goes to med school. I like that Hunter x Hunter has a main cast but they're not forced to always be together or even on screen at all when it doesn't make sense.
