Why do people pretend Fukumoto is good?

Can't Kaiji call the cops with anonymous tip that group of men is staking out a mall? At least it'd take their attention for a bit and make them unable to catch random Filipino in a dress going out.

Yes, that's why I'm saying anonymous, if Kaiji would have the know how at least. Imagine them catching the guy if cops are strolling next to them. Of course that's horrid as you say if they try as they will question Mario as well, but then teiai boys would probably hold on attacking until he's out and they might get surprised by them having taxi ready. I think it'd improve their odds if they didn't fuck up anonymous part.

Or hell he can make it a prank bomb call. That's a bit different but they'd have harder time monitoring the entrance if everyone was ordered to leave.

It might improve his odds against teiai, but if the police are told he's being followed they'll probably start digging into Mario's life and find out some uncomfortable facts about him such as his illegal stay in Japan and dubious financial situation. I mean they're cops, not bodyguards no way they'll just help him out without asking questions
