For what I got online, happarently the editors have him on their leash, which means that he has WAY less freedom compared to when he writes EZ (in which he is allowed to pull the most fucked up shit, from internal vore to Displaying the naked corpses of all the milfs around the galaxy), so the main couple seems not be allowed to evolve for this reason. And this might be not too far fetched, since Rave ended with the MC and the main girl getting married, and seems like EZ is pushing the relationship between the main couple too.
