I was away for a bit so I caught up on all the episodes last night. It's pretty neat. I really love how much effort has been put into making the world at night beautiful and mysterious. I keep thinking how a lesser production would basically just dip the budget on a single scene like the first flight and everything else would look as dull as the average night scene in anime, but they've kept at it. Great direction for everything ranging from eroticism (that tummy arc UNF) to comedic timing.
I think what I'm appreciating now that I didn't when I read through the first few chapters of the manga is how "deep" it is without trying for any kind of grand preaching. He's not the most depressed lad ever in the midst of world changing drama; he just can't be assed because the world might just suck. How do you deal with that feeling? It at least has to be the most relatable theme for any of these romcom fetish shows.
I'm not usually a fan of hiphop type stuff but I think everything works, except maybe the insert song placement in episode 3. Not sure it really fit there.
VAs are killing it too. Her scratchy goofball voice is perfect and makes me even harder.
