Anyone else feel like the most recent series of Baki is disjointed? First we start of with Sukune the Nth as a threat, very standard, but then it goes nowhere for hundreds of chapters until he gets beaten by Jack and after that some dude with strong kicks become the focus. What gives?

Why don't you read good fighting series instead then?

The rape in this series feels like part of a gag, what are you talking about?

Is this your first time reading a Baki series as it is releasing? They're all like this. Itagaki just does whatever he feels like. We had to sit through Retsu in a fucking boxing match for no reason once.

>Baki lost to Jack

what???

FIltered

Maybe has a plan for a future arc but needs more characters floating around the world

It's true that he takes it in weird directions, but I genuinely feel it is way more random than the previous arcs.

Sukune, who was supposed to the antagonist, lost to Jack instead of Baki.

Feel the same way. The opponents are strong enough maybe its time for a innovation or new side characters that get mentored or something

No, it's literally 'That Nasu Stone Broke, I gotta use this as a story beat somehow.'

So like every part of Baki? Dunno why you're expecting a coherent, consistent story from the series now, when it never bothered to deliver that.

Until the end of Son of Orge Baki had the goal to beat his dad, after that it became to beat Musashi. Right now it feels like the series is narrative is meandering. True, the path has not been clear in the past, but it was always going towards overcoming someone.

A bit yeah

Felt like a direction was set up with Sukune reforming sumo, then that was seemingly dropped and it became Jack proving Gou Dou then that seemingly got dropped in favour of Kehaya doing ..... something .....

Baki has been really dumb for years
I realized this during the Pickle arc
Pickle was one of the worst arcs in the history of manga

I can't say I agree, Pickle arc is the second best after the MT in my opinion

The Pickle arc was nothing but retarded disappointments one after another. It was like stupid shock value with no payoff.
>OMG PICKLE IS PURE INSTINCT HES GONNA RAPE THIS WOMAN
>SIKE HE JUST GOES TO SLEEP
It's nothing but dumb shit like that

He did rape her, then he fell asleep, post nut makes a lot of guys (and girls) tired

This looks like that one meme, you know the one.

Stupid rock
Fucking thing took Jack/Baki interaction scenes from us

I dont

Sure it was a little bit of shock value, but its not like we havn't seen rape before in the series.
The Pickle arc has some of the best fights for the characters, Jack and Katsumi especially.

Sumo arc has been garbage.
>but jack
Only good part of that was the initial explanation of Goudou and the speech after the fight the rest was shit.

Does everyone collectively agree to not remember the retsu the peg legged heavy weight boxer arc?

I don't think even Itagaki knew what he was doing with that arc.

I liked the fight, it was pretty brutal and bloody, how I like them. I also appreciated Jack being technical and smart with his new style. Not to mention Sukune pointing out that despite him making good use of the biting Jack is still primarily a striker.

What the fuck is that cover?
