It's worth noting that the stand itself is fish-themed and literally has a hook as part of its design, so this could have been an elaborate troll that wasn't noticed until about 350 posts in, but it could also be a coincidence. I personally just want to see the story finished at this point. Visual references in replies.
Sorry to spoil the fun, but here's proof that it is fake. desuarchive.org/a/thread/240676651/#240702731 A post stating the humour of the stand having a fish hook, whilst also baiting people (including this thread) into discussion. However, it was posted through the tripcode of whoever was claiming to be the OP. As you can see, this post was then deleted, and posted again without a tripcode. Perhaps the second post was someone who saw the original and thought it was funny, however the images attached on both have iphone filenames, just as every other image posted by them. Anyhow, the fact that the fish hook bait text, implying that it is just bait, was posted by the trip code at all is proof that it was (at least in that thread) a bamboozle. Well... in hindsight there is no proof that the trip code is the person who wrote the original text in the pastebin, so that may still be real, but this is at least proof that we should disregard the last thread entirely.
If it's a creepypasta, why is it so generic? Why would someone on Any Forums try writing something so obviously fake with the intention of passing it off as real? Even a redditor would know that it isn't gonna work. Creepypasta as a genre has been memed to death way too hard for anyone to think they can do that.

It screams creepypasta by the way it's written. It's the typical "creepy thing from a fictional work that no one wants to talk about" type of pasta. There are countless of them, and this one doesn't try to be more original. If you’re implying that tripfag and thread 2 OP are the same person trying to bamboozle the board, why would he explain his own joke hoax meme through a proxy, trying to pretend it’s not him?
