I get that the point of this chapter was to have Asa make a friend, establish her as being bullied, and flesh out troonkabe more for when she inevitably dies, but the bullying was underwhelming and troonkabe was so nice it's kind of ridiculous. She's so nice it's like she wants to fuck Asa and Asa resists her being nice so much it's weird. The pacing felt off.
The bullying should have taken up more pages and her being nice should have been shorter, rather than 2 pages of bullying and 6 or so pages of Asa refusing some shoes.
