Episode 1

It's a show for girls. If you are not a girl you may not like it at all

When you turn 18

If a long runner never grabs you by the 10 or so episodes then you are better off dropping it since chances are you will be still hating it by the time it gets "good"

After Jupiter appears

When Best Girl turns up. So S1, E1.

I keep watching it simply because im nostalgic for the artstyle of that era.

When you start watching the first episode of Cardcaptor Sakura.

When Mamo-chan fucks off.

The Chibiusa seasons suck the most. It's Stars > S > s1 > R > SuperS

Why does i have serious arcs. Why cant they go play laser tag and be pals. I fucking hate the serious shit

It's an old anime user, unless you're a kid or girl I doubt you'll enjoy it at any point.

Hot

When you cum inside chibiusa

OP I liked it as a horny kid back when it aired on TV in the west back in 1995. I rewatched some of it without nostalgia goggles on and it didn't live up to my memory. It was basically Power Rangers but with girls, so it was made for mass consumption (i.e., quantity over quality). The original mangaka said that she didn't really have a plan for the series and was taken off guard from how successful it became. A lot of Sailor Moon plot was filler content created by the production team because like I said, the mangaka was in over her head. With that said, the only season I think is decent is the SuperS episode 128 to 166. The theme about dreams just fit the series and the animation and music is probably at its peek during that season.

Sailor Moon's legacy is that it's one of the early anime that made anime popular in the west. Also, it singlehandedly hijacked the magical girl genre (which was really about coming of age/slice of life) and turned it into mostly henshin.

I forgot to add this. Back in the early 90s Power Rangers was the defacto ratings king for young kids both in Japan and in the west. Sailor Moon is basically a ripoff of Power Rangers. Similar to Power Rangers, it was made for the young children demographic of ages 4-12. When people review shows they should always factor in the target demographic. If it's made for young children, then your rating should reflect if it succeeds at being a good show for young children. OP you are a grown man, this show wasn't made for you.

I'm 34 and still watch it with my tulpa

That's just sad. Also, we're the same age.

Why did the thread go past this post when it didn't need to?

If you don't have nostalgia, it doesn't

Read the manga. Is more repetitive and boring as fuck, but at least shorter. Jump to doujins then.
