Nah you weren't too stupid. Well, maybe you were, and are, but that's besides the point. It's more about your attitude and it's a series that's slow as sin. I would say the later episodes are highlights so if you can stick around for that it's also worth it, the theme park one in particular. I'd liken it to a more dreary Mushishi, you still may not enjoy it but I'd still recommend it if you're curious.
