Probably one of the more justified of her crazy actions and Misaki was definitely asking for it, but it was a rather extreme reaction for a comparatively minor offence. Mariko reacted like Misaki had killed her family or something, where a simple “fuck off” would have sufficed— Nanako had the right idea by warning Misaki to piss off before she got hurt.

There’s a difference between good hospitality and not taking “no” for an answer while attempting to hold your friend hostage, making them fear for their life in the process. Mariko was 100% in the wrong there, even if that mistake came from the fact that she didn’t understand how “friends” worked as a concept.
I’ve had a Mariko-tier crazy gf before. It’s a mixed bag. It’s absolutely fucking amazing when things are all lovey-dovey, but their paranoia and general mental instability often causes them to get into trouble a lot and also create drama out of nothing (I had massive fallouts with her purely because she misunderstood what I was saying at times and suspected I secretly hated her even though I was genuinely madly in love with her).
