Gammamon is a very childish and innocent creature, but his ultimate is a serious, mature dragon.
Jellymon is quite selfish and does whatever she wants, but her ultimate is a healer who cures others.
Angoramon is a clam, intelligent warrior, but his ultimate is literally a berserker.

I'm liking the parallels but we definitely need the protagonists themselves to be more fleshed out they've only done so much in the 35 episodes.

Really cool episode. The buildup was well done and Lamortmon evolution was really good. The ferocity was cool, but I do wish we got to see a bit more of the fight. Looking forward to when he pulls out his swords. Poor Thetismon just got herself poisoned and didn't get to do too much. But now that all 3 have their Perfect forms, we won't need too much plot to knock them out of the fight to make room for the new evolution, like BetelGammamon getting poisoned.
After Dracmon shows up and he just jumps off then sits, as if he's pouting, was kind of funny. When he was just clawing at Manticoremon I thought for sure Ruli was going to step in, and maybe she was but Dracmon showed up in time.
Also maybe I just didn't follow, was that conversation between Ruli and granny something that actually happened? It seems weird that she'd pressure her so much then tell her the truth, knowing that it isn't this werewolf but some random creature putting people in danger. And also that scene with the arrows, and Ruli hearing a voice. Didn't really get those parts.
Well there was no pre-episode discussion to start things off, then no link to a raw, plus the subs just dropped around the time this thread was made (at least where I watched it, sadly no Crunchy), so possible that most are still watching it. Should be some discussion soon.
Ghost Game's pacing is cursed. It's a bit too slow as much as it avoids dear god why episodes and/or arcs

Ruri had visions of that actually happened in the past with the werewolf and the princess. My guess is that granny IS the princess.
So Ruli's entire lineage might actually be werewolves?
But when granny 'spoke' with Ruli (still unclear on how/when that happened) she did establish that it was long ago (600 years) and that the princess died (were the legends of her demise greatly exaggerated?). If other people didn't see her I'd have just assumed she was a spirit, but she was clearly alive and a member of their town.
No, why would you think that? It's pretty obvious the werewolf was killed off and the princess "rescued".

It was a pretty decent episode. It was nice to get an episode about Ruli's lineage, but it's lame that we don't end up seeing how her relationship with her family was like. The people she actually interacted with were all distant relatives she had no connection with. You could have easily written out the whole Tsukiyono family stuff and had the plot be exactly the same.
Lamortmon being a berserker didn't call back to all the shit he went through during the Digitamamon and Salamandamon episode, he was just a big bruiser like other similar scary looking Perfects like MetalGreymon. And D'arcmon-ex-machina is pretty much expected at this point since they needed a way to wrap up the episode quickly while redeeming the monster.
i really like ghost game but i want to see gulus plot already, remember that most Digimon series last around 50 episodes and I'm worried that we aren't going to see enough of gulus or the digital world. Digimon being recurrent characters is cool
Blame the fact that it got like 20 extra episodes out of nowhere and now they have to fill up time.

I was genuinely happy every time we got a new episode early on and couldn't wait for next week.

I think the only way this could have happened is if it was a dark evolution, as evolutions require the tamers, but since Lamortmon isn't technically a dark one, I guess it wouldn't really work. Something like Manticoremon was lining up to kill her and Angoramon just loses his mind. Lamortmon's description does talk about a tamer that can calm him, which clearly Ruli didn't really get involved with yet, and it was just his one track mind of "protect Ruli" that was keeping him going. Works pretty well when his enemy was mounted, not fighting back, and he kept clawing at him while repeating that to himself.
