I really liked the Ashita no Joe manga, as well as Ping Pong both manga and anime. Matsumoto has a pretty good short boxing manga called Zero that I'd recommend as well. Haikyuu is also a great manga.

Itagaki is a bit boring I'll admit. The show does get some great highs after that though. I really like where it's at now.

Are you saying you can respect him or he was too disrespected and you didn't see him as a man? Cause Ippos literally been beat up himself and didn't fight back. He understands if he fights another boxer on the street he will surly have his license taken away and will never be able to do what he loves again. Plus it's fucking boxing.
