This isn't something so cut and dry as you are saying, if there is evidence of one of the parts cheating, there a huge difference in legal system if you can back up your claims and can be verify. There is no good reason on paying alimony during the divorce if someone gets caught cheating. Who the fuck would enforce that? Who the fuck would just silently accept that? Even in burger land it would be consider unrealistic something like that happen while having prof on your side.

your third-world country probably has some grounding in traditional christian morals whereas "advanced" countries have gone off the post-modern deep end. I hear about cases from my brother who is a lawyer. it's not a matter of finding out who is at fault, at best the evidence of adultery could speed up the process but the alimony and financial support will be completely unaffected even in the most black-and-white case.
I suppose you could try to make a separate lawsuit about "damages" or whatever but I've never even heard of that so I doubt you'd have any chance of winning.
