Let's talk Harems. What do you think of them and what do you think of the trope as it is utilized in the anime medium? Why do you think it exists?
Also, do you guys think that there is any way that polygamy actually works out irl (societally speaking too, not just on the personal level)? It seems to me like it just leads to a bunch of lonely celibate men that become radical and violent since all the top men will monopolize the women even harder. All of the precedent like muslim countries and the retardation that went down in the ottoman harem or the court intrigue in China supports the fact that polygamy as a societal norm doesn't seem to work out.
Do you not give a shit and just like the fantasy?

I like the fantasy of multiple women I love and love me who all get together. Irl it'd just be the usual relationship bullshit but with even more ungrateful cunts added into the mix that you have to micromanage and will be catty and bitchy to each other. Think of the children growing up in such an environment.
You'd have to be a God among men to have the ability and authority to pull it off.

Romance mangas/anime with harem tends to get fucking boring. Everyone knows who the main heroine is and that is why they are consuming it. Like I am
not watching nisekoi because of some sidecharacter that fell in love with mc because he was soo nice. You watch it because of the main girl in ep1 and on the poster. But then it just becomes retarded and boring. Every little step towards the relationship gets reseted every once a while and you spent like 20-24 episodes with the ending beeing

As far as the harem structure goes in anime it's a trade off. Best case scenario has the MC meet one girl and fall in love as the adventure goes on. But if the reader doesn't like that girl then you lose a reader. And if you have only one heroine you need to come up with some other way to structure your story. It's easier to use a 'boy meets girl' plot in every arc to get readers engaged and simply leave the threads untied at the end. The final legacy of the story might get hurt a little bit but it's more important to keep people reader from week to week, push that stuff off for later.
'Realistic' harems are a nightmare, one woman is enough trouble, imagine having to deal with a dozen of them. One wife is enough to take care of your household and fuck whenever you want, the extras are just more frustration for no benefit.
