Anyone else was disappointed after Goku drinking the Ultra Divine Water that he never again harnessed the Oozaru's power? I feel like the King Piccolo and the following arc afterwards was building to fully harnessing Goku's inner beast and hidden power without giving way to rage. So its a real damn shamed that Toriyama forgot about it come Raditz.

SS4 works in theory. But what keeps people from truly appreciating it is the controversy around it. That being the "magic pants", it joke name of SS4 being taken seriously, and it being "furshit" in a series where we already have furries. And the obvious "Why isn't it gold instead of red?" arguments. If it was named something like Hitozaru or Primal Saiyan, they would naturally swing into making hybridization like SSB. Thus sedating most people. But on the safe side I would've gone with the reddish brown fur from Gogeta as the standard then the pinkish red fur Toei chose.

No fuck off. Going from 3 to 4 makes no damn sense. SS3 is a Neanderthal with a lion's man, symbolizing drawing the utmost limit of the Saiyan in question. SS4 is a literal "Reject Humanity, Return to Monke" transformation. The method to achieving SS4 is vastly different from all the other forms and basically a hybridization of Great Ape and Super Saiyan. So its already a branching line like the God forms. I'll say you're half-right. He left it to Toei to dive into the concept. At least until his jealous riddle mind autistically try to make Broly's SS forms canon without them actually being Toei's Legendary Super Saiyan. Hence he made the Ikari/Wrathful form and produce another hybrid branch with SS.
Honestly I hate the name but I love the concept and execution. It and False Super Saiyan feel like stuff that should've been added in the Saiyan and Namek arcs. Would've toned down the fuck that is the power escalation, starting with Zenkais.

The only other time prior where he came to play with the whole Oozaru Power was SS3. So much in fact that guidebooks and GT basically treat the form as the Golden Oozaru in human form. I can see why just from the first transformation scene alone. I wish Toriyama got over his laziness and added the tail like his prototypes. Heroes does it for their mastered and/or upgraded forms (SS3 Full Power & SSR Full Power) so they know what's up.
Course now Wrathful Super Saiyan by that logic should also be considered GO but in human form.
