Erika is the real snake, but it doesn't matter. This manga is absolute dogshit, and yet I still read every chapter as it comes out.

it's not uncommon for the anime not really giving any meaningful boost. but from looking of that japanese watcher stats (idk where to find it though), cuckoo sit pretty down there compared to other running show from last season. so that may explain some stuffs, japanese watchers don't seem to watch this. Maybe the fact that the anime only got aired like 3 weeks later compared to most other running anime at that time might be one of the answers. It's honestly hard to tell.

Do you think the manga could have gotten a boost had the anime premiered earlier? Or did the anime just simply fail to attract interest for the manga?

I don't get how anyone could defend the pills this chapter. That is a pretty evil plan if you ask me.

How so exactly when Hiro is a snek? Furthermore more, Hiro is the one who demanded Nagi to beat her in ordee to date her. Hiro doesn't want to lose to Nagi, meaning she wants to take 1st place and inherently is cucking herself. Sachi wants to her do exactly that hence the focus pills to help her study.

I've been reading since the oneshot, the only chance this shitshow had was if the anime came out before chapter 50-60. It has been awful for over a year at this point, only sunk cost fallacy losers like myself still care about it. For reference, when Quints ended, this was the best selling romcom... better than Kaguya.

But Kanojo mo Kanojo got its manga first and it too failed to boost manga sales despite the anime being decently popular on streaming.

You know that Hiro and Sachi being sneks are not mutually exclusive right? Just because Hiro is a snake doesn't mean Sachi isn't one too.

It was quite popular at first but the Shino arc killed most of the interest for the manga.

it's just not very good of a manga to begin with
unless you're a hardcore miki fan and your first exposure toward cuckoos is through the anime, doubt people will be impressed that easily considering it's the same exact romcom formula but with the baby swap problem thingy (and even then it's something that only got addressed like a handful of times throughout the manga)

So basically, the manga was never going to be boosted by the anime no matter what?

short answer yes
the anime is just so-so, really have nothing special going on, it never really has that strong attraction for people to grab the series for the first time to begin with, and the number shows that.

When are we getting spoilers?
