If you want Final Fantasy-sque CGI animation, try Douluo Dalu instead. Although its manhua version is complete and utter butchered trash, the original novel and the donghua (Chinese animation) are great. The green tea commercials in the early parts of the donghua in particular are quite hilarious.

Anime industry utilises cg mainly to cut animation expenses, hence the awful look. It's literally done on a budget of peanuts and outsourced to some chinese slave dungeon
