Anyone else beginning to really dislike Saitama? His current portrayal in his manga is making me see him as a lot more obnoxiously idiotic instead than funny. His recent actions make him come off as some embarrassing guy people usually avoid. Not to mention many are turning him into a second "Goku wins" type of character when they shill for any fight scenario.

1. His current dialogue and humor. It feels like something someone in grade school would make.
2. I've never was able to relate to his loneliness because he's brought a majority of it on himself. He didn't try to ever get out of his comfort zone to make any friends all his life until recently, or put himself out there to people or groups who share his interests. It's mostly other people having to get into his life, not the other way around. Otherwise, he'd still be alone.
3. His apatheticness has been pushed up way too much. Failing to handle Garou properly, and keep on letting him get more and more dangerous until the point where he did actual damage to innocents. was gonna vaporize the Earth for a guy he hasn't known long and really doesn't bother with most of the time, completely forgetting about all his other friends and anyone he has ever met. When he finally stops Garou, this is all suddenly gone for some kid he's known for about an hour. Forgetting about Genos and the other corpses completely for their murderer.
4. Another big one the fact that most people aren't calling him out for that, in fact many rarely ever criticize him at all, and end up near-worshiping him for heroic acts and think that this gets rid of all his flaws and makes him this perfect hero, when there are far better heroes than him.

It's quite the thing, changing the whole original way the fight went. It's impressive you managed to read the manga for this long when it jumped the shark a year ago. I too read the manga but that was before it jumped the shark and then just did something else.

I've been continually disappointed by this mango ever since the 20 chapter Psykos battle, but pretty much everything after the death of Homeless Emperor has been awful. I was so hyped for the Garou fight and they completely fuck it up by making him do pretty much fuckall to be threatening until a rewrite in when he obliterated Genos (and then they bring in time travel and fart jokes and even more nonsense).
I just wish they stayed true to the webcomic in that he beats the absolute shit out of all the S class, then threatens to kill off the kid and such before they watch the fight. The fight had a ton of character development for Garou which just straight up won't be in the manga. Blast's depiction (con hermano de Boros) is also retarded but that goes without saying. As soon as this shit arc finishes I can finally drop this fanfic for good

The whole thing with the meteor is that the damage would've been much bigger had saitama not done anything, yet he took the blame for the meteor when clearly no one else did shit about the meteor. saitama was used as a scapegoat because they had no one else to blame.

Or... he couldn't, he's not a reality warper and only knows how to punch. He'd just destroy the city because the collateral damage from moving too fast to catch all the debris would be higher than the damage from the debris.
