I loved chainsawman as it came out, but now I can't stand seeing it everywhere. I should like it becoming popular, but seeing endless memes, waifushit and normies reading for FOMO kills my hype. Is this what it's like being a contarian? It fucking sucks.

If you really feel this way, you probably only liked it before because it was less known and shilled to you by Any Forums.
I like it, I think Fujimoto is a good artist and I like the stories he comes up with too. I think that most threads related to his works on Any Forums are a total shitshow though, and I don't touch any other part of the internet focused on anime so I don't see these other people, but who cares what faceless nobodies think about something? And who cares what vain anime youtuber faggots think? The only people I talk with about this series to any serious degree are friends of mine that are into art; I only come to Any Forums expecting the worst, and very rarely finding alright discussion.
Like it if you enjoy it, not because people on the internet convinced you too, or because other people on the internet convinced you not to.
