Why are neets like this? She's just going to cry about one guy for the rest of her life?

wait what, it's the other way around. The girl moved on like a week later while the boy is mistakenly believing that "his longing for the girl he will never meet again" will help him to become a better self.

Read the manga
She's unironically won

How?

This movie was a literal demoralization propaganda, of the highest grade I'd say.

Never ever cave in to this level of defeatism and cowardy.

That’s what the OP implies.

I enjoyed it. Maybe you should stop self inserting so much.

True.

Nah, it's not the story and character but the atmostsphere that hit like a truck, a little too heavy, I would say.

it's saying that the only way to stop the universe from disintegrating is to understand that impossible things aren't just possible, but more likely that you could ever imagine or some shit who gives a fuck love ain't real

I can never sympathize with any Makoto Shinkai's character. They feel unreal somehow even by anime standard.

fuck this movie, even mc's younger self had more balls than in his adult self

>cry about one guy for the rest of her life?
The girl become a whore after one week, only the guy remain loyal.

I found this shit too boring to even care about what it was trying to convey.

What? I may have skipped some scenes of the movie out of boredom

>tears doesn't fall straight into her nose making her sneeze
immersion ruined

The girl moves on in like a week. It's the guy that keeps tormenting himself because of her.
This is very realistic desu, one of my friends went through a heartbreak like that and never recovered, now he mostly spends his time drinking and struggling to find the motivation to do anything - it destroyed him. The girl found someone else within a month though, it's really fucked up.

Have i skipped some scenes or are you anons just confusing the surfing girl with the main girl?

Bump

it shows that men are weaker in this department; they can't move on as easily as women
some people will say it's loyalty but it's probably naive

This movie is beautiful. Art is gorgeous. But if the lesson is to live your life regardless of who is in it, then I don't get the praise. Something so obvious doesn't need to be spelled out.
