I also missed last two threads, so I just wanted to point out a few things
If you're not that familiar to Sengoku era, you can still notice that this crest is really similar to Oda's clan crest. All because this is Akechi's clan crest, which means it's Mitsuhide, the very person who betrayed Nobunaga at Honnoji which led to his demise..
I already wrote a big post in some previous thread about Hisahide, but to make it short - he was one of three people who were behind Ashikaga Yoshiteru's death, which kickstarted the most active part of Sengoku era. He used pretty much everyone in his plans, Nobunaga included, but eventually failed (so I guess Nobunaga compared Saint Germain to Hisahide because both have no attachment to people and see them as means to reach their goals). The reason "tea kettle" was mentioned is because Hisahide was one of the biggest tea ceremony autists of his century, and he hated posers who were into collecting tea sets while having almost zero to none understanding about the entire thing. One of those posers was nobunaga, and OH MAN did Hisahide HATED Nobu and trashtalked him whenever he tried to act smart about tea ceremonies or got another tea set.
Point is, Nobunaga wasn't kidding about the "bomb" part:
>In 1577, while Nobunaga was waging a tough battle against the abbot Kosa Kennyo of Honganji Temple, Hisahide committed treason for the second time. He slipped out of the Oda army and confined himself in Shingisan Castle, an act that turned the military situation against him.
>Anyone could have predicted Matsunaga Hisahide’s demise, but Nobunaga presented unprecedented terms for surrender: that Hisahide could trade his life for the Hiragumo.
>Hisahide refused. Instead, he filled the Hiragumo Kettle with gunpowder, chained it to his neck, and lit it. He blew himself up, ending his life heroically with the Hiragumo.
