Any chance the remake could become successful enough that it even makes people forget about Ranma?

i love my sweet Ran
Literally no one cares about Ranma compared to UY in Japan. UY is a cultural institution.
too bad she only loves Rei
Ran is my sweet wife
same around the world, though lum is more of a generic symbol than part of UY.
It's already worse than the original by virtue of removing the gag characters.
So you're in a open relationship with her then?
Nope. It's going to get the crystal treatment.
>no stormtroopers
>no nudity
>no anime original episodes
No
pretty sure we might get anime original episodes eventually, i mean this is 46 episodes
>no Oshii to convert your sexy alien waifus into philosophical exploration of the limits ofreality and fiction.
Fuck off schizo
This is the only ranfag I respect

They can pick from +300 different stories to adapt from the manga. Why would they make anime original episodes?
a-anime originals? oboy
>Literally no one cares about Ranma compared to UY in Japan.
I think this is true, but Ranma is still crazy popular for a series that hasn't really had any content in a long time. They just had some live Ranma events to packed audiences not that long ago.
Lump
is there any chance this could become mainstream in the west?
it does sorta become like Ranma when the other girls come around
Yes but not for reasons you'd probably like
>ryuu is an lgbt icon
>ataru and mendo are totally gay guys
>lum is the future funk girl
>ran is such a bitch
pretty sure it would be Ryuu's father that would be the lgbt icon considering how much Ryuu wants to dress and act like a girl
No. At this point any newfags who will watch it will just go "meh just another generic romcom, only this one is so boring and the humour is dated. Urusei Yatsura didn't age well duuuuude. Nagatoro and My Dress up Darling are so much better lmao". Same thing happened with Bastard.
