When does it start getting good? My gf makes me watch this cause it's her favourite and she always weebs out about it but i'm 13 episodes in and so far the animation is bland, the pacing is very saturday morning cartoonsy with the villain of the week, the fights are meh and the romance is standard rumiko shit i've seen before in ranma. The music is sometimes good and i liked the characterizations the thunder brothers got, i didn't expect them to actually care for one another. I know a lot of people hold this anime in high regards so it has to get good at some point, right?

Episode 1.
Are you new to anime?
been watching chinese moving pictures since i was a teen, but i see how my use of "weebing out" tipped you off
idk man the format can work out but i'm just not feeling it here. Maybe it's because i was just done wathcing fruits basket which had a new bit of characterization for the cast in each episode, at least until you pulled through the first 12 or so episodes that are kinda boring. Maybe inuyasha is like that, but i kinda doubt since i don't think rumiko can write characters that aren't tomboy girls and tsundere boys.
try asking on /soc/, turbo-normalfaggot
>but i see how my use of "weebing out" tipped you off
No, it was you only watching InuYasha now. If you've been a long-time anime fan you'd probably have seen it much much earlier.
somehow it always eluded me in my teens and by the time i was out of my "guy witch biiig animu sword" phase it didn't attract me in any way
It doesn't, girls just shlick to the idea of being Kagome and having the power to make the bad boy do her chores for her while he protects her from any consequences of her behavior. It's basically anime Twilight.
It's basically ranma 1/2 + overarching story + demons - a lot of the comedy that made ranma 1/2 worth watching.
I love RT stuff, but 56 vols of Inuyasha to read? That's a tad much even for me.....
Most anime before 2000 were terrible. Anyone who recommends them are looking through nostalgia.
Inuyasha is great if you experience it for what it is - an adventure into historical Japan+ authentic folklore stuff.
It's not about being good or bad, you have Ranma for that.
Inuyasha is a story that should be immersive.

Cowboy Bebop, 1998. Evangelion, 1996. Karekano, 1998. Gunbuster, 1988. HonnĂȘamise, 1987. Akira, 1988. Laputa, 1986. etc.
You are a raging faggot.
It doesn't. And by episode 36 the series basically gets set in it's own boring ways until the very end of the show. Its so poorly paced generic and tedious, in retrospect i don't even know why it became so popular.
there are some episodes that stand out, and cool moments, but overall its pretty much what you think. I love the show, ive watched it several times, but I havent watched it since TFA finished and I dont think ill be able to watch through it again. its been what? 10 years already?
Just call out "Sesshomaru-sama!" when she's pegging you in the ass and you might get a reach-around.
Acquire a taste for shoujo, jackass. I recommend Rose of Versailles.
