It's so chill that I can watch with my daughter just fine, but the stuff about girls being concubines and having to explain that to my daughter makes the Anime PG. What I like about ascendance of the bookworm:
-she's not a chosen one or a summoned hero
-she's not OP
-she's not there to make the world suck Japan's dick
- no blood/gore/fanservice.
-she doesn't have a harem
-the pacing is slow, but rewarding
-the world building is nice. the creators actually created a fictional language that can be translated. you can map out the whole town. consistent about lore.
-one of the best daughter animes out there that doesn't end up being weird. oh god Usagi Drop turned out weird.
