Both Bokurano and Narutaru are good. Don't know if I'd call them deep though. Nothing is deep according to people on Any Forums or Any Forums in general so I never use that word when describing things.

I recently read it and yeah it was a schlock. I would've been depressed if I read it when I was a kid though.
