What's so great about Lum?
Urusei Yatsura
Lum bum
She was designed to be a villain, but prove far too popular to not steal the spotlight.
Early chapters of the manga portrayed her as a clear-cut antagonist, if not an outright villain. Needless to say, her characterization wildly changed before the manga was even a single year old, making her the short-tempered yet more likable character we are familiar with. This very likely has something to do with the fact that Lum wasn't originally meant to be the main heroine, but an obstacle for Ataru's relationship with Shinobu, but Lum's popularity forced Rumiko Takahashi to change the official couple.
She went from being a one off antagonist to the breakout character of the series. The funny part is that unless you read the manga, you wouldn't know this at all, since lum's transition is much less noticable in the anime (only really seen in adaptations of those early chapters, and even the more subtlely)

When do I get to the episodes where Lum and Ataru are the only focus without any Ten or shit like that?
Unironically read the manga since ten isn't there for like 8 volumes
Pretty much every episode of the anime has at least a few other characters becides Ataru and Lum

I swear everyone on YouTube seems to be giving their hot takes about Urusei Yatsura now that the reboot's coming out
Female Ranma > Lum > Shampoo > Akane > literal shit > Shinobu
>Female
>Ranma
Pick zero, since this is an Urusei Yatsura thread.
