Nicholas Moran was too tall to be an enlisted rank as a tanker but there's no height limit if you join as an officer and I think he's only 6'1 or so. I'm 6'4 and I know I'm too tall to be one because I looked.
There's always mechanical maintenance stuff you have to do, plus loading and unloading ammunition into the tank and etc, so yeah, I'd assume you have to be decently fit.
