Jobber XoverDress

>Yuyu jobs again
He may as well just stick to crossdressing if he's gonna keep losing like a bitch.

>Skipped 3 fights
Well at least Youthberk was cool

Who the fuck was this shit made for. Fights aren't even properly shown. How are they supposed to shill new products if we only ever see them as 4 pixel cards instead of actually materializing units.

It's yet another failed vanguard anime project.

>it's another main cast member who takes his card games too seriously and looks down on people who play for fun
I feel we've seen this archetype a few times in VG now. Predictably Yuyu loses and now gets his powerup with the new cards next episode. I guess he will be replacing the G4 Nirvana which I'm curious to see because the powercreep in D is already at a high level. Not much else to say about the episode. By the way do we have ratings for this season?

It's to be expected they would skip a lot of fights. No way you can do a complete tournament arc like this in just 12 episodes (technically 10 since it started this episode). They'll just focus on a specific fight depending on the character who needs to shill new cards that week.

Mirei will lost to hax Urara and I am gonna pissed even though I am Monasterio player

>By the way do we have ratings for this season?
No. It's not on Nico Nico anymore for some reason. Probably not the main reason, since it's also considered to be a less relevant streaming service in JP, but I'm sure the first two seasons having really bad ratings also had something to do with it.

>make a decent start for once
>shit starts crumbling down by ep 3 with boring rival, jobber mc and plot shield beginner
yikes

I would not be surprised if the big bad's plan is to collect all the imagination energy from the fighters in the machine and that's why this tournament is a thing to push fighters to their limit. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if it's used to open a gate to another dimension too because that just happens to go hand in hand with collecting energy in card game anime.

So is Yuyu out of the tournament? Or is he going to cheat his way back in somehow

>Tomari talks shit to the champ then cries like a baby when she gets bodied
>Megumi starts shaking in her boots and will probably throw her match too
>Yuyu loses with even hitting Grade 4 cause he couldn't be bothered to lean a bit forward and read Youthberk
>Urara beats a pro in her 1st fight effortlessly

What an embarrassment of a team. Needs a newbie to carry them.

To be fair there are alot of fights to go through for this tournament and nowhere near enough episodes. Which kinda begs the question of why have a tournament arc in the first place.

I think Mirei has a good chance of winning but who knows. And while I know the Monasterio girl will lose, I hope we at least get to see her use that gal deck.

Kinda hope that's not what it is since we already had that exact plotline in G with the Stride Force stuff.

They seem to be organized in blocks of 4 and only the top 2 from each block can advance to the next round. So you're allowed to lose once as long as you win the rest of your games.

They don't care as they get a 2 minute long clip of the new card they plan to sell.

>Which kinda begs the question of why have a tournament arc in the first place.
This whole season and everything that follows is a kneejerk reaction to people crying about how the first two seasons didn't have much card game action and how they want the anime to go back to being a traditional VG anime. It wasn't part of the original plan.

We just had this in BD too lmao

>didn't have much card game action
they are still skipping a lot of fights, imo we are in a Tournament arc rn because that's the natural next biggest copetition after local drama(Season 1) and Squad fights (Season 2), as long as they don't go into Link Joker tier shit too fast it's good
Also I actually liked the more character centered story from the first Season even if it cut on the number of fights

>Best girl jobs to a literal beginner
>We don't even see which deck she's using
Damn it, why give her such a great design and voice if she's not even going to have a proper cardfight?
The whole Yuyu getting bodied and trash talked while an edgy song played was great. Kinda made up for wasting best girl.

>episode 3
>already skipped over half the fights in the tournament
dropped
