I couldn't imagine what it must've been like waiting a year for an OVA episode to drop. It's definitely worth it based on the sakuga fight scenes alone, but did the studio not worry about people losing interest as the years passed? And you'd think that with each episode being as long as it is, they'd explain shrodinger's cat-boy defeating alucard. It's saying something when an user explained that bit to me more thoroughly than the show itself.

That doesn't help when the character's name is spelled アーカード and you know Dracula as ドラキュラ.

If I remember it correctly, it's explained that that since the catboy is merged with all the souls inside of Alucard he can't be conscious about himself and that creates a paradox that just self-deletes.
