During his previous research on how to make the material to create white whistles he stumbled up on the fact that other entities that take the burden of the curse on themselves. And through more research and experiments he found out that love was the key to make it as effective as possible and went along with that until he saw he blessing. His thought process was completely logical, just without morals but what makes his character is literally that the Zoaholic destroyed his humanity and now he's just a force of the abyss in a sense.
He achieved the ability to become the only being able to return from the 6th layer and he discovered the blessing. Nobody but him was able to do it.
