Depends what sites you go to. Anobs will shit on anything depending on the time and mood. Outside of it however, it is mainly due to lack of interest or disregard for asian culture/animation as well as the more cynical and cruder life anglos lead that the overt optimism is seen as strange and unfamiliar.
