He cried during 131 too but that chapter was loved, so him showing human emotion was not a problem, it's how it was written along with the whole final arc as a whole that was the problem.

i dunno , he showed plenty of emotion before he got more stoic . i think more then enough people just didnt like how he showed emotion again after all his rage and i too think it was very pathetic and dumb not just from an emotional standpoint but his reasoning combined with ymirs plotline .
well i never bothered reading the second ending that i still heard was dogshit . maybe i should read it now just to be sure that izayama still , very much , sucks dick and he will forever ruminate in his new onsen business over if he should have just came up with an actual ending for the story line he made and if he should have not strived to create some grand cricle jerk of a never ending adventure as he envisioned . that didnt work anyways anymore after the " whats in the cellar " reveal .
