Man I loved this manga back in the day and was genuinely taken by surprise when I saw the sticky and the announcement of the adaptation. This was one of the never evers.
Shame we got a monkey paw adaptation from a shit studio outsourcing most of it to an even shittier studio.
Life is just a series of disappointments.

My cope is that they won't fuck up the writing for any more of the episodes and that will carry it. It will be like an audiobook that's colored.

100 times better.
Anything is better than uncanny cgi. We don't have a lot of animation, but at least it's sorta consistent.

I miss when low budget anime just added motion lines and fast camera movements to hide the fact that the action on screen is just a still image.

This is OPM season 2 tier.
