Why is she so controversial?
One Piece
He*
>reading garbage FILLER: the manga
Because of Oden, the greatest One Piece character to ever exist that is respected by Roger, Whitebeard, and various people's and institutes across the world, only he has ever injured Kaido prior to this, only he could save the world, only he and his family could read Poneglyphs outside of Ohara, only he could band all the Samurai together, only he can could be considered like a God.
Wano, the country like Japan full of the greatest and most powerful characters ever with the most influence, who also has Oden, the greatest Japanese man ever. Surprised he isn't a D.
That is why nobody likes Yamato, because instead of growing on her own and being some weird amalgamation of Luffy/Ace and their stupidity and wild freedom, she's just a gag plot device to insert more Oden shilling.
1. Introduced in the third act instead of earlier, expects us to be okay with her joining the straw hats so easily (and no, not a Carrotfag, I want carrot to join the grand fleet)
2. Oda dipped into this gender identity bullshit for whatever reason, twitter wants to own the more popular character instead of Kikunojo who's clearly what they represent.
Shitmato
Introduced poorly.
Hopefully she's fine in later stories.
because she makes carrotchuds and tamapedos seethe
>wants a new girl to join so he introduces Carrot
>decides he wants the new girl to be connected to Ace so he dumps Carrot and introduces Tama
>decides that he doesn't like Tama and wants his character to also have a furry transformation
>decides to create Yamato who is a furry like sulong carrot essentially but also knows and has a relationship with Ace like Tama
And Yamato was born. She is the result of two failed characters that didn't pan out.
Election tourists.
result of two failed characters is failed character
oden being a D wil be explained before they leave wano by his father to robin, when they talk about pluton
there is no chance he isnt a D
Surprising isn't it?
O D. En
momonosuke D. Fire Kozuki
You asked this earlier. She has no character arc, and if she's going to be a main character, she needs to damn well be one.
Dogs will always be superior to Cats...
Carrot had the soul, but she was never joining.
Because she embodies two things that make americans seethe like children:
1- She triggers transexuality discussions, which is now the hot topic in american politics.
2- She idolizes Oden, which is a figure of Japanese patriotism, and americans have a grudge against anything that glorifies Japan.
tl;dr Yamato is controversial because americans can't cope with trannies and are still scarred for Pearl Harbor.
...Dobson?!
