The empire premise of the manga is jumping from a filler island to another.
Oda was a genious from this point of view, thanks to the compass mcguffin he found a way to jump from an unrelated to the plot trouble to another making it look like it was all part of the plot. It could have gone on forever with this. There was no limit to the islands, and so to the situations and enemies, he could add before reaching the one piece.

I think its literally impossible to wrap up all the remaning plot points in one piece in a satisfactory way. But if oda manages to even wrap up 50% of the story in an interesting non asspully way i would be satisfied. Problem is that fans have followed the series for 20+ years and it will be impossible to end it in a way that wont dissapoint them, since theyve hyped it for years and years now. Sadly it can never be good. Not bc Oda's writing or some unsatisfying plot reveals. The main issue is the readers. The real one piece ending they want. Is their own or shared headcanon. Which we know, Oda doesnt give a single fuck about.
I will try to enjoy it, going to endure the week to week shittalking to form my own opinion. But i can live with 40-50% aswell. People understimate how hard it is to plan smth this big over years.
