I love anime fans complain about how anime and cartoons DOESNT mean they are man children yet they act like fucking slobs and laugh at moments when you aren't suppose to BC of lack of control.
Anyway deer king the best animated feature I watched the last two years it is animated very fucking well. There are bit of plot issues for example not introducing the backstory of the world enough or who the different races are but I kinda liked how there were zero hand holding and everything neatly connected at the end
Retarded faggot man children were eating so loud and laughing and talking full volume but I was still very much absorbed into the movie

ii just came back from this, theatre was almost empty so it wasn't an issue. movie was fun, i liked the world more than the story, the main guy is ryu from street fighter.

That disease, the mittsual, gave Van the Man super strength. He could also turn objects into trees and make them explode. He could also command wolves and speak psychicly with the previous "dog king". And the old fart could use it to possess both him and little Yuna...Yet Doctor Hosalle insisted to the end that there was nothing supernatural about the disease??

Good movie, but it still felt like a "Princess Mononoke" knockoff.
I think the point was if you ignore too much of nature and tradition (and FEELING of others) you get lost and eventually lead to your down fall. all the spiritual stuff made the film visually more appealing but I think if you took all the magic stuff out the story it still will make sense and it acted more as visual aid to the themes of coexisting

They showed the dub and the sub versions everyone for special screenings. But starting Friday it will have regular screenings in the US, but in not that many theaters. I found times in Charlotte and Atlanta, for instance.

Eating snacks is a part of cinema culture, whether you like it or not. A ritual of watching a movie in a huge ass theatre is just not complete without crunchy popcorn or hot nachos, just like a mass it needs its own communion.
