Just a regular guy who gains power through hard work

>just a regular guy who gains power through hard work
>but turns out to be the child of destiny
Why are all shounen like this?

Destiny likes hard workers who can realize their potential. If he didn't work hard, he wouldn't get as far as he did.

hard work is fucking gay

Naruto was getting all kinds of privileges from Kurama right from the start. Poorly written discrimination that Jinchuriki face aside, Naruto was far from a regular guy and had it pretty good.

Actual hardworker of this anime lost his main battle and became background character. Kinda ironic.

hard work is fucking impossible to write with because then you have massive amounts of downtime that you either fill with timeskips which is plothole central (why didn't the villain just attack during the timeskip) and it's also fucking boring to write twists with, since powerups would always need a training arc/timeskip and the powerup is just revealing the results of the training

you used the wrong pic

>neji had been right from the beginning
>it's the only dude from Naruto's generation to get killed
not like this bros

>Hard work means nothing in the end unless you are lucky

Based japs teaching them while they young

I hope someday you read more.

Kek

I fucking hate Naruto but hard work and talent come hand in hand, the stupid belief that a genius doesn't train and is lazy so he can get surpassed by a normal with just effort is a fantasy.

Japan is a pretty heavily conservative society and a hallmark of conservatism and rightwing ideology in general is an emphasis on the idea that some people are just inherently better, ie white people[or the majority race of the society in question], any form of royalty, rich people, and some people are inherently worse, ie black people [or other minorities in said society], the low born, and the poor. Generally conservative societies have only really promoted the idea of hard work as a way to motivate and distract the underclass, and create an excuse for why the upper class deserves their position that can't really be meaningfully quantified or verified by the underclass (for example Elon Musk claiming to work 120 hours a week, and yet conspicuously has time to tweet all the time, because he's either outright lying about his hours or more likely counting things like time spent flying to meetings in his private jet as hours worked).

Reincarnation beliefs.

He is known to be the fox spirit since chapter 1. He's never portrayed as "just a regular guy"

This
Because they always end up making the enemies too absurdly powerful, and the only thing that can kill the monster preordained by fate is the hero, also preordained by fate. Otherwise, all the people training the hero could've just killed the final baddie.

if you looked at the fourth hokage and looked and naruto and though naruto was just a regular guy thats on you

Hard work + talent makes the GOAT

>just a regular guy who gains power through hard work
>Has Foxzilla inside him
>Son of 4th Hokage
>Foster son of the 3rd
>Can do highly advanced transformations when he wants to
>Literally learns some high class bullshit tech in one afternoon
>just a regular guy
I'm not too sure if we learned so early about him being the son of the 4th but the rest is shown in the first couple of chapters, fuck you or anyone ever spouting this bullshit

But let's go on and look at other famous "hard workers"
>Luffy
>Roflstomps everyone but some key figures for the first couple of arcs
>Goku
>Roflstomps everyone but some key figures for the first couple of arcs
>Baki
>Roflstomps everyone but some key figures for the first couple of arcs
>Jojos
>Roflstomp everyone but some key figures throughout the whole series
>Toriko
>Roflstomps everyone but some key figures for the first couple of arcs

And in the cases that are lighter on how strong MCs are from the start, everybody is always amazed how much fucking talent they have and how quickly they learn and improve. Even fucking Kenichi, somebody who definitely had to work hard before he could even beat some school bully shitter had talent above mortal men.
In short, fuck you, these characters don't or barely exist in shounen.

at least Goku is shown training though. Something consistent in Dragonball, they always have a training arc

The Neji thing really pisses me off because he was 300% on point about EVERYTHING.
>Naruto wins his match because of Kyuubi chakra, but not only that, he was the reincarnation of Ashura so he was DESTINED to win.
>Offshoot branch Hyuuga ends up killing himself to save main branch, as it is their destiny.
>Hinata who was useless got relegated to housewife in order to further improve clan Hyuuga's status in the village, her hard work and self improvement only worked for seducing the would be next hokage, as was her destiny.

Uhh... based?

lol dead bodies of people buried in Otaku shit are found all of the time in Japan.

>>just a regular guy who gains power through hard work
Naruto was literally never this. He had the fox as a battery right from the goddamn start of the series.

Oh sure, all of these always train between stuff, though the focus on that varies of course.
The Pilaf saga still has Goku as weird overly strong anomaly from the very start, beginning with fishing up a leviathan of a fish on the first 2-3 pages and downing a 10 foot tiger man with an axe in one kick on the last few pages in the first fucking chapter.

Why do people assume that those who are talented don’t also fucking work their asses off to get where they are?

It always made sense to me from a narrative point that Naruto would lose the fox and he'd be forced to rely on his own strength. Egg on my face for expecting anything out of this series.

>Naruto working hard
PFFTTT HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
HE IS ONLY WHO HE IS BECAUSE OF THE FOX INSIDE OF HIM
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>>just a regular guy who gains power through hard work
Literally name 1 shounen where this is true. Even Naruto had Rock Lee turn out to be a genius right from the start.
