Did he leave after the Namek arc? There's a pretty steep dip in quality right afterwards, so it'd make sense.

One of the few times you get to see Gohan's character without him being latched onto someone else. G and G, G and P, and G and K are all fun combos but here it feels like Gohan can really carry an arc on his own.
