It's somehow worse than 95% if modern isekai. Nostalgia truly is a hell of a drug. It has absolutely no redeeming qualities other than some cool backgrounds and establishing shots of locations in the OVA

I talk about El Hazard all the time when people whine about modern isekai.
It's not particularly good, it's arguably pretty ban even, but Jinnai is fucking amazing. I've always wanted to see an isekai with Jinnai as the protagonist, the closest we've ever gotten is probably Meikyuu Black Company.
