No, the manga fell off and the mangaka completely dropped the ball with utilizing the momentum and surge in popularity the anime and movie created for the series. The Culling Game arc is such a stark contrast from the series other major story arcs, the entertainment value has dropped exponential. The only reason people are still here is because there is a sliver of hope that since the series is ending within the next year and a half, the upcoming climax will be a culmination of Gege’s previously successful writing prowess that will deliver on the high fans have been chasing for the past year.
Frankly, I’m not giving up on this manga and will stick to the end, no matter how disappointing the ending likely will be.

Really? Higuruma, Haraki, Reggie and Kashimo have all been solid sorcerers. I didn't care about Okkotsu wank but pompadour was alright. It's a battle royale arc and there's a Sukuna fight incoming. Maki wank is boring but it is necessary to establish her as being more or less equal to Toji instead of a jobber.
The only thing it's lacking it's direction in the antagonist side since the curses are gone and no one knows what Geto is planning

I liked Yuji x lawyer fight best because it at least continued some followup to main Shibuya conflict for the MC. Everything else has been New character A, B, C, D with various levels for success. B/c again they've been introduced pretty late into the story barring gamble guy.
Who feels more like Todo 2.0 personality wise when I'd much rather just have had Todo still be relevant because gorilla 1.0 was in the story longer and worked better as support for the MC anyways.
Some of the new faces I have hope for because there's potential for a point to them ( i.e. Lawyer Kun will likely push Yuji to grow, electric man maybe showing more about sukuna, canon dude and the chick giving snapshots of Jjk world history). Others I don't feel as much ( i.e. Pachinko seems more here for his powers & geges autism with it & to bring the random new characters together- then having any narative point relating to the MC / major 2ndary characters ).
Tldr: the fights will be ok to shit depending on your values for the story and what you actually liked about it beforehand. If it's Yuji going cold

What's the deal with the MC of this series? I'm almost never see him being mentioned or pics posted, and many times it's his possessed version, or something like that.
Is he bland? Too sidelined? Or something like HxH where we have a MC but the spotlight changes to another characters?

1. Mangaka are never able to predict that timeline correctly
2. This prediction was before the back injury and the new 3 on- 1 off schedule.

Kinda feels like it won't. But I do think it will for when Sukuna enacts his plan. The Enchain moment has to be some REAL SHIT JUST HAPPENED or else its gonna fall flat hard.
And I'm hoping once we get to Kenjaku's real plan, its gonna be Shibuya levels of hype again.

It doesn’t seem likely to peak. If you asked the casual reader what the goal of this arc was, most would probably say to rescue Megumi’s sister (and some other civilians). Other than that, what do the characters want? I suppose to end the culling game itself. I’m not saying it hasn’t been mentioned, but imo, it’s somewhat ambiguous to people what the actual endgame of this arc is supposed to be. Is there any build up to a particular, important, confrontation? I honestly might be forgetting, but I shouldn’t be forgetting

1) The goal is to rescue the victims and stop the ritual. By removing Players from the games, they lessen the amount of cursed energy being generated by the fighting, weakening the flood of cursed energy the ritual is supposed to cause.
2) Except as Reggie told us, the rules of the games and the way the games have played out doesn't follow the supposed goal for the games. So now in addition to the good guys trying to stop the ritual for its true unknown purpose, we're now waiting for Kenny to drop his bomb so he can have his "just as keikaku'd" monologue.
3) Get Angel to destroy the Cube's seal technique, so Gojo is freed.
