Do people remember Urasekai Picnic? It's easily the best light novel I've ever read

yeah but the anime sucked

I watched the anime, it was pretty alright
I don't feel any desire to order the LN or manga but if I saw it on a store shelf I would probably pick it up

The anime was quite bad lol. Cute concept but holy fuck too much beating around the bush with the yuri stuff. They're college students just let them hook up. Also wtf is up with Toriko, is she hapa or an inexplicably blonde Japanese person or what. I like Sorawo's design and name tho

Read the novels, nigga.

The novels are not light novels, by the way.

Get out of here stalker.

The novels are fantastic but the anime doesn't do it justice. The author also has a legendary case of yuribrain

Yes, Toriko's a hapa with two moms. From Canada I think.

She was born and raised in Canada, one of her two mom's was probably Canadian.

Yeah
The anime was acceptable, but only barely
Love yuri and guns

I didn't like the latest novel, felt like the author phoned it in

Nothing reallly happened in it but I realy do enjoy the series

the anime does that thing a lot of adaptations do, esp of novels, where you're expected to have already read it and know all the exposition that they didn't put in the show, so it ends up being confused and kind of rushed

>I like Sorawo's design and name tho
One character outright said that Sorawo looks like a 4/10 gross, disgusting otaku/fujo.

I assume she's a self-insert for the author who wants a hot blonde gf

Not that user but that's why I like her.

I read some of the mango, however much is translated. I sorta liked it, but I think the protagonists are really weak. This series would be a lot more fun if it was a couple of dudes who were really energetic about just wanting to explore the other side.

Yuri is not that popular,user.

Light novel board when??

>this partial adaptation is bad because it didn't spoonfeed me every detail of the characters early and make them act completely contrary to the massive trust issues established between them
No, it was bad because the director threw darts at the novels and decided to adapt the story in the resulting order. The novels still would have only gotten critically gay after the part the anime covered.

>but I think the protagonists are really weak. This series would be a lot more fun if it was a couple of dudes who were really energetic about just wanting to explore the other side.
You probably take Sorawo seriously when she says her backstory is nothing special.

I wish Canadians were real.

yeah no thanks
