What does Any Forums think about this show?
I am watching it for the first time and it feels so tonally schizophrenic and emotionally manipulative. For example the big sad moment I always see people talk about was a just montage of things that never happened between two comedy side characters while sad music played.

Rocket chair scene was funny and justified the entire show.
It is a powerful song I'll give it that.
I almost caught myself feeling something for a second before I remembered that Yui and Hinata didn't have a single positive interaction before she ascended or whatever and that we only learned her backstory about five minutes prior.
I genuinely liked most of the comedy scenes. I wish they more of a focus.

i've recently rewatched it and still like it.
it could have been a lot better if it had more episodes.
loved it and I never got the manipulative part
the emotional scenes still hit me hard every time because it was basically about regret and how everyone carries it around instead of facing it

half of the characters just disappear without any story and the plot is resolved instantly
The show is fucking kino with it’s only real problem is that it needed like twice the amount of episodes
Since my main issue is pacing I actually agree that it needed more episodes. It wouldn't fix a couple of my issues but it would fix the vast majority of them. It was too short of a show to deal with multiple genres, a giant cast and multiple arc villains.

It was one of my babby's first, so im biased in favor of it. it did okay as an isekai and the slapstick about fatalities was great. Not-Haruhi and not-Yuki had their appeal . Unfortunate that most of the cast didnt get much characterization, the SoL parts were pretty good. 2nd beat never ever
