Loid and Anya both establish shitloads of depth in the first episode alone, Loid is callous but has a soft spot for Anya due to his past, Anya is an inquisitive young girl who loves spy shows

Yor has no real backstory, stupid ass character, no personality whatsoever outside of "I like assassin stuff!!!", her motive for working isn't really developed or established at all

She could have been strong in the same way most fictional fighters are unrealistically strong. But why go blatantly superhuman, just so other characters can react for a quick gag?

She seemed like the very caring type, especially with her brother so maybe its more of the same. You could also be cynical and say she is really trying to sell the good wife role.

Anya is also cute so its probably easy to like her.

The series is clearly set in a fictional version of East Germany, so I have a good reason to think everyone is European.
However with it being made by a Japanese guy with Japanese perspective, there is going to be plenty of "artistic license"
